Default Starting Issue

I have been having this problem with my Z for a while now. It crank but wouldn’t start, sometimes takes 5 or 6 tries before its start. This don’t happen every time, but lately is happening more often, almost every day now . I took it to the mechanic but they couldn’t figure out what’s wrong. There’s a code P1084, but they said is not related to my issue. Any ideas?

Simple things 1st-
How old is the air filter?
Has the car been sitting with old gas?
Have you done any work on it prior to the problem?

Air filter is around 4 months old. I use the car often, but I had it sitting for a while (around 2 months) at the end of last year

But, should I be getting codes for these sensors? The only code I’m getting is a 1084.

Known many of people that never got codes but sensors were bad. If you replace, get oem sensors.....trust me

I had a similar issue that happened overnight. It ran fine and the next morning I had to crank it for several seconds before it started. It turned out to be the crankshaft position sensor. Replacement available at your auto parts store.

New one on the left. Old on the right.
