Default engine freeze?

i live in detroit where the weather gets lower than 19 degrees..(could go down to 0)
When i changed coolant, i think i put more of water than coolant.
Would storing the car in the parking structure for a month cause the coolant/water to freeze over time? I hope not..

thanks.

Too much as in... almost water?
Should i simply empty the coolant reservoir and add water and coolant half and half? ..got no energy to drain coolant lol

I think when there was air in the system after thermo change or coolant change, i put water to fill in the system.

You can get a very cheap tool to determine how cold your engine is protected. Go to Autozone and buy a coolant tester. It is a very cheap instrument and could prevent a catastrophic motor problem.

+1 ^^^^ great way to be sure.. But make sure to run your car for a while and then let it cool to test. if you have jut added water to your tank then test it.... it will likely say add coolant. Picking up what im putting down?

Since a 50/50 antifreeze / water mix will not start to freeze until –34 degrees F you probably still have a fair amount of safety margin. However, the 50/50 ratio also raises the boiling point to 226 degrees F so it’s worthwhile to correct your mixture.

I'd be a whole lot more motivated and be much more energized to put in correct coolant mixture knowing that frozen coolant would crack an engine block, but that's just a silly old me.

what a lazy dumbass. I hope you freeze your block and crack it.

too laxy to be bothered to spend 30 bucks of coolant to prevent paying out the *** to swap in a motor.

op creates nothing but stupid question threads on herem not sure why its tolerated.

search and stop cluttering the forum with your stupidity

If you don't have the energy, leave it.

Judging by your "Deep in Irvine" signature, it doesn't seem like you're from Detroit.....

Get off your a** and flush the water out now- you don't want to be stuck in Detroit with a Z stuck in a parking structure unless your "parting" out the car for "free"

Things go missing around here very easily- cracked block will be the least of your worries
