Late last night when I got home I was getting ready to put my car cover on, I noticed my hood was popped. I know for a fact that I didn't pull the hood release button and I proceeded to make sure I closed it just right after that I didn't really think much of it as it's never done that before. So this morning after getting ready for work I took my cover off and made sure it was still closed as it should of been and it was. Well being sure not to even get to close to the hood release button I continued on my way, until on the highway when I noticed my hood was popped open again. Obviously still latched thank God so it didn't fly open or anything, but this is really getting annoying now. Any ideas on what it could be and or suggestions/help? Thanks!

 

Stock or aftermarket? Try to raise the latch up, you should be able to move it up about 1/4 inches. If it's after market, might want to get hood pins.

It's a stock hood, sorry for not mentioning that earlier. Raised the latch up as soon as I got to work, working just fine and I closed the hood as tight as I could. So we'll see if that helps any when I go for a quickly on my lunch break! Thanks.

 

If you are having issues already, I'd definitely suggest some hood pins.

Thanks guys. Didn't act up like I thought it would on the way to lunch and back, but I am definitely going to be looking into purchasing the pins if it happens again.

 

What was the temperature range when this happened ?

 

Maybe you should just take it to a reputable body shop and let them handle your problem.. It's probably a simple fix.
