Is anyone else experiencing their doors unlocking during hard cornering?? My doors pull open a little and the map lights (the lights next to your head) come on cause they think the door is open. Also that little switch which seals the windows by sending the window down and up when you close the door gets activated, so obviously the door opening during those times is pretty crazy, just not sure if this is common or not. My Z is a 2004 Grand Touring Coupe.

First off - there was no Grand Touring coupe in 2004 (only Touring).

As for your doors - are you pushing/leaning on the door through the turn? Or is it opening from the force of the turn alone? Either way, sounds like the latch is done.

Could it be the door latch or the door needs to be set in more to the chassis or something?

Without pictures, I'm going to say it's the latch. How does it look when the door is closed?

Looks normal, perfectly flush and closes without a problem.

It's probably the latch:

This.

Or wear your seatbelt.

Does the door wiggle/rattle when you have it closed? (roll the window down, close the door, grab the window area and push/pull on the door)

Might try adjusting the striker a little if it doesn't have slop in it.

Worst comes to worst replace the striker/latch.
