Default Pilot Bearing?

Hey all!

I just got an 04 350z, and in my excitement I overlooked some things I shouldn't have when I bought it.

I noticed a faintish, almost grinding sound this morning when I had my car in neutral. It went away when I released the clutch (i.e. pushed the pedal in), but not immediately. It took about a second, as if something was spinning down.

I've done some research, and given that as far as I know this car is fully stock, I want to say it's the pilot bearing.

What do you guys think?

I might be able to get a video up in a minute too.

Thanks!

EDIT: here's a video

I just threw in a link to a video.

Cux350z, thats along what I was guessing. Guess its time to talk to the dude I bought it from. Wish it wasn't one of those things where the part is basically pocket change but the actual work is kind of intensive haha

I wasn't saying those were the issues just correcting your terms. you will have better luck searching if you use the correct terms.

gl. seems like you have put effort into it. hope someone can help diagnose.

yeah those parts are cheap but the labor is going to suck
