heat & air conditioning 2008 350Z
It seems (according to a dealer dianostic) there are 2 computer modules that control the heat/air panel. The controls are all confused so to speak. I do feel cold air pushing our moderately in a diff setting than normal and it will heat also in positions that are not correct. Has anyone had and issue with this and if so, could I purchase these comp modules and install them myself. Also how difficult would the the repair be to do it myself ? I was quoted in the $800 range to repair @ the dealership !!

Do you have an aftermarket headunit installed? There is a control module in that area. Check to see that the connectors on the ribbon cables are all tight, and that the cables are not damaged. If there's another module, I don't know where it is - sorry.

Thanks ... yes there is a Pioneer head unit I had installed ... that's 2 yrs ago and worked fine till end of last summer..... that's when the heat and air went haywire. The dealers readings said there were 2 computers contolling it that were shot. But that is a real good suggestion .... I'll have my installer ck that .... thanks for the suggestion.

I also don't know what these 2 modules are in fact that control the heat and air control panel ? The dealer said both were giving crazy readings when it was troubleshot. Anyone out there know what these parts are .... and how difficult it would be to tackle replacing myself and where to buy them ?
