Default installing hood latch and cable

This seems stupid but I don't want to put it back together incorrectly. How do I get this damn cable in the hood open latch? Can someone show me a closeup picture of the hood latch with cable? Do I need to pull the cable a little to get it to wrap around the two metal fingers? I don't want to break it...

i tried to search for an answer but no luck.

Have you tried looking in the service manual? You can download it free.

The Field Service Manual? Yes... I searched it profusely before posting, I couldn't find anywhere where it discussed the mechanism. If you know where it is please direct me.

The installation of the hood lock mechanism is covered on pages BL16-BL18 of the 2007 350Z service manual.

Thanks! I found it in the same spot in my 2004 manual. Not sure why I didn't find it before... must of had a few too many beers.

Thanks again.
