Default Clutch help 06 350z

Ok so here goes!

I recently traded my 300zx TT for a 06 350z with 65k miles. I immediately noticed the clutch was slipping. I looked past it because I didn't care I just really wanted the car!

So I drove around until it decided it really didn't like going into gear anymore. Pulled it into my moms garage and pulled the transmission, put in a z1 motorsports lightweight flywheel, and z1 mild performance full face clutch (basically oem).

I completely finished everything did everything to spec. Got in it started it up, and no clutch pedal at all. Goes all the way to the floor comes back about 1/2 an inch and sticks, I have to pull it up with my foot.

So, I put the ss line on that came with the kit, bled the hell out of the system an entire small thing of Valvoline brake fluid through it. Still no pedal! Also it stuck like 3 days before I tore it down early in the morning after a cold night, and I had to push really hard on the shifter to get it in gear. I've read a lot about this and I'm thinking I'm gonna do something or attempt to do something that I don't know if its been done or not. I need some opinions so I don't **** anything up.

I'm going to attempt to completely take the hard lines out and see if I cant get a stainless braided line that's long enough to go from the slave cylinder to the master. Also going to replace both the slave and master. I read that there's and orifice that probably isn't needed.

Any input??? Or should I just replace both the master and slave and say **** it? Maybe pull the orifice out and spray it out with brake clean? I don't know if its worth pulling it all out or if it will hurt something, in my head it sounds like a very good idea?!?

http://www.chasebays.com/brands/chas...--infiniti-g35

So i just googled it after all that. LOL... still input?? Worth it maybe?? I looked at the lines and it looks like a friggin roller coaster...

EDIT: So I said funk it and ordered it. Going to order both the slave/master tomorrow I guess I will update on fitment and whether or not it works tomorrow. I've spent 3 days doing everything I could think of. So I'm just gonna throw parts at it. Usually that works when you replace everything in a system right?!? Haha hope so!

Personally I wouldnt have ordered from ChaseBays that have some really terrible reviews on Zilvia. Some positive but most of them are all negative.

But yeah you just need a new slave and your good to go. I'd advise you to order the wilwood slave.

We'll see I don't see how a line could be bad but I guess fitment could be??

They take forever to ship, fittings are sometimes wrong, and customer service is pretty bad. I know when I ordered my SR harness from there, and the PS kit, i had nothing but trouble along with alot of other people. Hop over to Zilvia and check out the review thread on them.

I’m surprised if the master and slave are failing at 65k. Bit, with that said…

I think you have a sound plan (slave, master and line replacement). It’s probably not the line, but your replacement is much better and hooking it up eliminates the possibility it was a bad connection somewhere.

Please let us know if it works. We'll learn something either way.

I would think the same thing, but I'm so sick of dealing with it, I just decided to replace both. I will for sure update on fitment and what fixes the problem, should have my slave/master here thursday so I can have her running again friday, but I probably wont be getting the line for awhile since chase bays has a bad rep for sending stuff out in a timely manner who knows though.

Supposedly the fluid will overheat if i put the ss line on according to a local transmission shop. I call bull ****, but i'm gonna run motul just to be safe hahaha

So got my master and slave! All looks good! My line will be here saturday! Purchased it Sunday, tracked it, they shipped it priority 2 day through usps expected delivery is Saturday, so looks like I'll be putting in the master and slave cylinder to see if I can get the pedal to come back up then driving it to my work and waiting for the new line! Putting it on then pressure bleeding it at my work? Hopefully it works.

You're better off replacing all 3 at once, anyway, IMHO.

Well for an update, I replaced just the slave cause I'm just gonna wait till tomorrow to get the ss line and replace the master and line. I bled the halibut out of it. The clutch pedal now fully engages/disengages the clutch, but it still sticks so I'm gonna try and bleed it tonight at work with the vacuum/pressure bleeder and see if that works if it does I'll install the master and the line tomorrow and bleed it again a few bucks for fluid aint a big deal!

At least I'm driving it again!! hardy har har! I'll update on the line when I get it!

Is the clutch fully depressed when you're bleeding the system, or is it in the non-engaged position (up)?

So installed master cylinder, bleed the system ALOT! Didn't change anything! Also attempted to install the line!

DO NOT BUY THE SS LINE FROM CHASE BAYS IT IS ABOUT 3-4 INCHES TO SHORT, I made it work by taking most of the hardline off and installing the line into the orifice box but had to run the stock hardline from the other side of that box to the master cylinder. For 80$ shipped it was not worth it in my honest opinion.

So I'm kinda to the point to where I don't care, the clutch is fully engaging and disengaging so its not a problem to me at this point when I get a little extra coin I'll take it to someone and pay them to do it cause I'm sick of dealing with it lol. I work on cars all day I'm tired of working on my own when i get home.
