Just because Jake jacks his car up that way doesn't mean the original poster should do the same. It is very dangerous.................

 

And just because CJ posted the video of Jake jacking up his car in that way doesn't mean CJ is saying to do it. It is very dangerous............

 

If you're only doing that to give yourself just enough clearance to get to the side jacking point (and not going under the car in any way), you're probably ok. Still, strongly advise against doing that.

The tow hook goes into the bumper support which is made of aluminum and is only attached by 8 bolts. You don't want to put a load on that from that direction.
