Passenger Rear Wheel Braking Noise/Clunking Sound
Okay this is my first post though I've found this site and plenty others extremely useful in the past. I've fixed small things here and there but I cannot for the life of me find out what is the actual cause of this noise I've been having for the past month.
I found a couple posts that had noises that described the same noise as mine except their issue was at a different time. I hear this noise every time I brake from around 25mph to a stop. Other people have problems accelerating from a stop but that is different from mine. I've spent hours trying to research the problem myself- all over this site people seem to have similar problems, but not the same. Here's a thread that had a video of the exact sound and problem that I have and they DID COMMENT WITH A SOLUTION but it was only probable and the video referred to the front lower control arm bushings when the original guy had a problem with the rear. ANYWAYS this sound is a pain in the *** and super embarrassing
I've spent a while lifting up the car and looking in the area (right rear) as I took off the wheel and pushed and shoved everything around, nothing replicated the sound. It only makes the noise (or at least I only hear it) when I'm braking 25-0mph (kind of like a clunking sound).

Recently I took it to a mechanic who couldn't fit me in unfortunately to take a further look but I'd much rather try and save my money and do it myself! I took him and a fellow worker of his (separately) around the block and had them listen for themselves. They believe that it is the PARKING BRAKE SHOE being loose or the spring being broken? It's weird because no other thread mentioned that (always said bushing problem). I couldn't recognize any broken or torn bushings when I looked either.
Will someone please tell me they had the same problem or ask me questions that could point me in the right direction? Or even confirm that it is the parking brake shoe? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Check this link as this may be what the issue is.
I have a 2004, and did what the TSB said to do and it fixed mine:

This might not be your issue, but worth investigating as the parts to fix are pretty cheap.

I've seen many people complaining about this and I've seen that video before too throughout my research, multiple times. The thing is, people with that problem (for which this TSB fixed) only had the problem when accelerating from a stop. Mine is pretty much the other way around: only hearing the clicking noise from when I brake.
I'm not a mechanic or anything but the parking brake shoe thing didn't really make sense as to whether it could be the problem but my friend and I are gonna check it out this weekend.
Thank you for you input PoppaC, I'll have a look more into the thing you mentioned, although it doesn't really seem to be the same issue.
Any other help is always appreciated! Thank you in advance!

I know it took a long damn time to reply but i was just so happy that I had fixed it. There wasn't really a problem or anything but I took apart my brakes and apparently the brake pad was clamped when I didn't even have my foot on the break. So for anyoen with this problem, just re-lube the brake caliper bolt because it may not be letting the brake pad depress. Anyways, because of this, as I was driving, one side was already braking-ish and it immediately went away when I took apart and relubed everything in my brakes. I hope this helps!
