Clutch pedal strange after clutch install.
Ok, so I got everything buttoned back up. I replaced quite a few parts at once so this one is giving me fits.
Replaced / Installed
JWT Clutch and 14lb Flywheel (chatter isn't as bad as people make it out to be)
Chromoly Pivot Ball and Cast Clutch Fork (this meant I used the shorter ball instead of the long one that was in my car, apparently they stopped using the longer one and the stamped fork in august of 03 so I guess I got a very early model)
Stainless Steel clutch line from Z1
I also bled and replaced all the fluid with new Valvoline synthetic.
Now the problem
My clutch pedal is WAY 'weaker' than before. I see lots of threads about people bitching about how stiff the JWT is but thats not even remotely what I have going on it requires almost no effort to depress now. Though it is still returning after a depression so thats good.
Also, my engagement point is really really low to the floor now where as it used to be high (like everyone talks about on the Z) My pedal however is still higher up than the brake pedal.
This is making driving it now very...weird. While I'm sure I'll get used to it, I just want to make sure there aren't any problems.
I hope I gave enough detail to get some help since I will have to go to work in about an hour and won't be able to responded to question after 5pm Central until after 10.

The stainless line will have less swell to it allowing more pressure to go directly to the clutch so it will feel different.
By engagement being close to the floor, do you mean when taking off? It will be lower for a little while the clutch is new. It is a thicker disc so it grabs faster. Give it a little and it will be back to normal.
As long as it doesn't grind gears with the clutch pressed in sitting still and it doesn't try to drive off, and it's not slipping under acceleration I wouldn't worry about it.

Well, its not grinding, not trying to pull away (thats clutch drag right?) and yea just really close to the floor when i'm taking off (has caused me to stall a bit, i feel new all over again) I just really wasn't expecting a weaker pedal feel after everything I've read.
Yes that would be clutch drag.
Mine was real close to the floor at first but now it's about halfway as usual I think. I stalled it a couple times getting used to the light flywheel but now it's second nature.
People complaining probably have the stock hose.

Have the same feeling in mine as well. Just installed the JWT combo, SS line and new master and slave cylinder a month ago? Maybe? Though that flywheel is hella loud! The whole cab has vibrations from 1500-2200 rpm in gears 2-6 along with the loud noise, oh well
My pedal felt different and it chatters under 12-1500 but definitely not as bad as you say.
My chatter isn't bad at all. Posting from break at work lol. I certainly hope the engagement point moves up a bit for sure

Hmmm wish mine was that quiet. It is extremely loud. I was kinda shocked at all the vibrations it made in the cab as well. I've changed my shift points to avoid that loud azz chatter.

If you needed to accelerate to get out of the way of an accident about to happen you'd be screwed.
I did the same swap like 3 years ago. Chatter isn't bad at all by the way love it... I had a similar problem are you sure you bled it fully. It was a night mare to bleed actually had to bring it to a mechanic. To do it. I forget the terminology but he said he had to stick a crowbar between the piece that connects to the tranny and fully disengage it that way then bleed it. My clutch engages at the same point from when it was stock. The SS line makes it feel pretty stock like as well maybe give that a try

It scared me when I noticed the clutch started grabbing so high. I started to get used to it being near the floor then next thing I know it's halfway up and I'm thinking my new clutch is already toast. But it doesn't slip.....
