Default When installing new battery questions..

Hello everyone, It seems on the later cars even though my 350 is a 03 (i sold bmw e36 not too long ago..used to old cars) that wiring to the battery is different. The 350 seems to have some kind of sensor. Is it just a regular unhook the connector or is there any precautions i need to take before disconnecting old battery and installing new. Thank You

I just disconnect and reconnect. I've done it about a dozen times and never had an issue.

Sensor?

You just loosen the bolt in the terminal, lift the cables off the battery posts, replace the battery, put the cables on the new battery posts, tighten the bolts, drink a beer.

It's pretty straight forward. Try to not drop the bolt and rod that holds the battery down.
