Any problems with corrosion around battery in 350Zs?
I know the earlier Z-cars had some serious issues with corrosion around the battery tray, and it often extended to the firewall and fender liner, like this one:

Have those of you with early 350Zs seen any problems in this area?

The battery on my 04 had corrosion around the terminals and it was in my Battery tray. I removed the tray and it was perfect underneath so I cleaned up the tray (it's plastic) bolted it back in and it was fine. My new battery also corrodes around the terminals even though I cleaned it ad used die electric grease. This only happens on my 350z. I just keep an eye on it.

My pre-order '03 track model has had no corrosion issues over the 12 years I've owned it. With the battery contained in its own compartment, the factory paint still looks like new in there. It's still a good idea to clean the terminals and apply dilectric grease when replacing a battery, but that seems to be the only maintenance involved.
I had problems similar to Winchmans in my '97 200SX SR20DET S14 when I got rid of it in 2011. My '04 350Z GT has no such troubles though and is still covered with the Daytona Blue factory paint.
