Oil Pressure in constant flux
Hey, guys! Sorry if this is in the wrong section... I was hoping someone could help me out with this. I noticed the other day my oil pressure wasnt sitting where it should be. I have an 03 350z touring w/6sp. It seems as though any time i hit the pedal my oil pressure shoots up. It doesnt touch 120, but it doesnt stay below 100 either. Ive had a few issues with the car since i purchased it back in april, and im still working out the kinks. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i could fix this situation? Or what the possible outcome may be if i dont rectify this soon?

If I understand what your saying, the oil pressure changes with RPM and it's not getting as high as it once did.
Google oil pressure and read just a little.

Check the oil level. As long as you are still getting a good amount of oil pressure, I wouldn't really worry too much about it. If it continues to drop, you may need to look into it more.

At idle it the needle should be just around 12-15 psi.
Cruising should be around 60-80 depending on which gear or speed you're on.
If it's past 100 it means you're revving quite high. This is all normal. Unless it stays up there when you're idling or at lower RPMs. If this is what's happening, change the oil pressure sensor.
