Default i had just got my battery replaced and now my car starts weird?!

whenever i turn the ignition, my car would start but i have to step on the gas for it to turn on all the way. this never used to happen until i had my battery replaced. what could be the reason for this?

Because the engine lost the engine calibration parameters stored in flash memory. It needs to learn idle speed and some others after loss of electricity.

give it time to relearn then you'll be golden.

This is temporary. This happened to me when I took the battery out for the winter. Just give it some time and it should go back to normal. I drove mine for about 110 miles before it went back to normal. Also note that you're probably not going to pass emissions until everything recalibrates and relearn. That also happened to me.

Usually this shouldn't happen in such a short time but it still happens. It would normally take hours or days without the battery in the car for when it needs to recalibrate. Also be aware during the recalibration period your trunk might randomly open for no reason. I don't know about anyone else but this happened to me and then it stopped when I didn't have to gas it to keep the car on and when I passed emissions.
