Tire Pressure Monitor System problem/question

ok...here's the deal. I have 2 sets of rims/tires for my car for winter and summer. My tire pressure sensors are installed on my summer rims and the system works fine with them in. My winter tires and wheels do not have Tire pressure sensors in them and if I drive more that 45 minutes continuously the "low-pressure" indicator light on the dash illuminates. It remains lit until I shut off the vehicle and restart. It's not really a problem..just annoying to have that bright light glaring at me during long night trips in the winter. I told Nissan about it a while back and they looked at me like I was crazy. Any ideas on here???
I didn't even realize that there was a low pressure light on the dash. (in addition to the guage). If the dealer is no help, I'd ask someone else at the Nissan Technical line.
Can't you put the sensors in your winter tires?
Maybe black tape over the light in the dash?
