Air condition "drone" sound when I accelerate
Hi this is my first time posting to this. Been a member for a little just been a lurker though.
If there's is another thread on this I am sorry but I couldn't seem to find one with my problem.
When I have my ac on and I accelerate I hear like a droning sound at approx. 1000-3000 rpm and can only really hear it in neutral and kind of in first but it's not loud. But when I'm in second or above I don't hear it. I checked my belts put a new ac belt on. Checked my freon level. Everything is good I looked at the ac pulley and it felt fine. So I'm thinking it must be the ac clutch or the bearing wearing out Has anyone else ever experienced this before?
I don't really want to put a new compressor on there unless that is the problem which I'm thinking it is. My ac still works great it's just the sound bothers me. Honestly if you got in my car for the first time you probably couldn't even notice it. I'm just scared one day my bearing will seize up and that belt will throw the other belt off or snap it.
