Default A/C not working. Need advice!

hey guys, my a/c is not blowing out any cold air. The compressor does not turn on. I did check the refrigerant, which it is full. I was looking to replace the a/c pressure sensor, which is pretty in expensive. If the a/c pressure sensor was not working could that cause the compressor not to turn on and then not blow out cold air? If that is the case I will try it, but what are the instructions on how to remove it. Can I just simply un screw it, or do I need to remove the refrigerant out first. thanks

How did you check the refrigerant level without the compressor running?

Check fuses first.

Have you checked for power to the compressor clutch with the a/c turned on (much easier/safer if you have the key in the on position and the engine off)

I don't know about on the Z but there is usually a high and a low pressure switch. Either of them could be bad.

If the fan kicks on with the a/c button then your fuses/relays should be good.

The fuses are in the driver side kick panel and under the battery cover in the little boxes around the battery.

I would move on to checking to see if you have power and ground to the plug at the compressor with the key on, engine off and a/c turned on.

If you have power but the clutch doesn't engage you have an a/c clutch failure.

If you have no power check all the sensors on the a/c system.

It might be a good idea to take your Z to a mechanic to have the A/C checked.
