Overheating and Stripped thread on radiator plug
Hi guys,
My 2003 350z over heated the other day when driving. When the vehicle is sitting and idling it doesn't overheat. Whenever I drive now it over heats almost reaching the "H"
I thought it was my thermostat so I ripped the old one out and put a brand new one in. Then I drained my old coolant and flushed the radiator.
Then I went to unscrew the radiator plug to drain the flushing liquid and I've stripped the thread on the plug. I can't use a flat head or screw driver to get it out now!!! I tried heating the flat head and wedging it into the plug but that just stripped it more. Also tried getting it out with pliers but no luck.
I decided to drive it down the road 15mins with the flushing liquid in it. The car started to heat up again! I am guessing me changing the thermostat did nothing or could it just be that I was driving it with flushing liquid in it??
