Oil in spark plug sockets
My fix is to follow the R&D instructions to remove the old seals, and if they are not cracked, reseal them back in (after cleaning valve cover and seals with brake cleaner) with Gray or black RTV.
My video on said fix.

I did this last weekend using the R&D kit over here, sure it took quite a long time to do it but I believe this method should far outlast the OEM replacement covers.
The above video is invaluable, as to is a print out of the manual
(and the correct tools of course)

After watching this video, it really reminded me of why i did my wire tuck. Well at least there are 2 decent solutions for our valve cover issues. Personally i am gonna go with the maxima covers once i am ready. I really want the lower filler neck for a cleaner look. Plus i plan on doing a little massaging on the new covers to give them a cleaner look before paint. This is just another step in my engine tuck.
(bar what you said about the filler)
I just re-visited your engine tuck - man that's amazing, I've not a clue how you do it
shouldn't need to, just clean the oil out. Take a paper towel and wrap it around your finger and use the hole you make in the towel to slip over the plug to soak out the oil. Will take several towels to do it.
