Default What is the best way to R&R an oil pan?

Hello people, Recently i pressure tested my oil. That being said when i put back my sensor i accidentally torqued it a bit too much, and cause the sensor area to crack. Right now i just JB Welded it with Marine Weld just to get it home from where it was. I know the oil heat will melt the jb weld so my next option is to just replace the upper oil pan.

Which is a better more efficient way to remove and replace the oil pan? From down under or to just take out the whole motor.?

TIA!

Transmission

The engine would not work if it were connected to the flywheel.

I seriously suggest against you trying this procedure if that was a legitimate question.
