hello everyone, I need some help. my 03 350z will not crank, It does not seem to be the battery, all lights work and the volt meter shows no drain when I turn the key. I unplugged the clutch safety switch and jumped it with a wire to rule it out. bought, replaced the starter and solenoid still no luck. I heard that the intelligent power distribution module could cause this but I don't know how to trouble shoot my IPDM. any other ideas or help would be appreciated.

 

It may be your key. Have it tested if possible.

 

Welcome- your Z is equipped with an onboard diagnostic system accessed through the OBD2 plug. Use a code reader to gain some definitive answers to your 'no start' problem.

 

When I turn the key I get 12 volts to #11 wire on the IPDM but on wire #4 it jumps from 0 to 3volts then back to 0, pretty sure it is the starter relay or connections on my IPDM but I will check the key, I think the security light on the dash stays lit solid when I turn the key which is an indication that the key is good but om not sure, thank you for your input.
