Default Drivers side doesn't open when it's hot

As the title says, my drivers side window doesn't open when it's hot outside but my passenger side window operates fine. I'm suspecting it's a motor issue because I looked at the switch yesterday and it looks fine. Anyways the issue isn't present in the morning when it's cooler so I thought it was strange.

^^ You are correct. It is a motor issue. There is a thread here describing a repair on the existing and failing motor. I did that and it worked, but just for a short time.

You are better-off replacing the window motor with a new one. I did that (new motor) after the "fix/repair" that failed within 4 months. The motor replacement has been good for 6 plus years and still going strong. --Spike

What's the brand of your window motor?

I installed an OEM Nissan window motor. I do not know the OEM window-motor supplier for Nissan. I doubt that is important.

The significant point here is that cleaning the coil on your existing window motor is a temporary fix that is good for less than 4-6 months. The thread describing the "fix" does not acknowledge this. Be aware that anything less than replacing the motor is a temporary fix. --Spike

Mine just stopped working today for some reason. Was working fine this morning.

Is there a DIY for this?

Go OEM for the replacement is my recommendation. It is worth the money if you want to do the job once and not worry.
