I am having trouble with my fans not operating.
I have checked the fans and both work fine when powered up
I have checked all fuses and tested all I can.
I feel it is a faulty relay but they are non replaceable on the idpm board.
I can pick up a known good one.
But some say it will need reprogramming
I can get one from the same year and from a auto trans as mine so do I still need to take it to a dealer to be reprogrammed!
and if so why?

 

Don't have any idea on reprogramming for an IPDM, but I'd question whether it needs to be replaced. Have you had any electrical surge issues or water intrusion that makes such a failure likely? IPDM failures have not been a regular problem with Z33s.

Are there any codes being thrown to indicate an IPDM failure?

hi all, im really having an issue understanding on how to fix just about any problem with the IPDM. my tail lights and side markers and running lights are out and i cannot figure this thing out. i have replaced all fuses bulbs etc. but still no tail lights. is this something i can order a replacement ipdm box all together and just do it myself or is this something i absolutely need to take to a dealership or shop. plz any and all help is welcomed. plzzZ help .

 

Any kind of IPDM problems are usually serious ones. If you've checked the simple things like fuses and connections, and you are still getting codes involving multiple IPDM related codes, it's time to get a ctory tech involved. Throwing various parts at a problem is definitely NOT a solution.

It says something when the OP on this thread still hasn't posted any updates on his IPDM issues.

 

im not throwing any codes though. i have replaced fuses,bulbs, rechecked with oem radio in. problem started when i put led bulbs in. now for refrence the top light is your breaks and bottom light in the tail light casing is your tail light correct? plz correct me if im wrong. could it be a grounding issue and if so what steps should i take to check the grounding?
