Please Help!! What kind of oil leak is this?
Hi i just found this on my car:
1) What part seems to be leaking, and what is the fix?
2) Is it expensive to fix?
3) If my oil level doesn't drop could i ignore this and just keep checking the oil level regularly?
Thanks please help.

As a note.....If you are not comfortable taking a ton of wires out and pulling the plenum/intake off take it to a shop. But even the most base DIY mechanic can do this. It may seem daunting but I promise you it's not If you need some pointers just give me a shout on PM. Expect to do Spark plugs while you're down there, not worth it to take it all apart and not do them lol. My Z was leaking oil pretty bad from VC's when I got it and smelled constantly. Ever since I fixed her she's been happy and not smelling anymore

I had changed the spark plugs and coil boots like 1700 Km ago so i would let the same.
I ordered the valve covers already to have them changed instantly if i see the leak gets worse, i asked today how much would it cost me to have them changed in a very good shop, and the say they would charge me about 120 US dollars, i live outside USA, shops are less expensive here.
I will also change the knock sensor and harness if i change the valve covers, since i got a code on it, even tho my cars feels fine on power and fuel consumption, but it would be a waste not to change it if i am already so close to it.

Our cars LOVE pulling oil through the intake with rev's.....That's why they make oil catch cans to hook up inline with the PCV valve. If you are seeing oil buildup on the sides of the plenum. You might want to pop your upper plenum and see how much is built up in there?

I know it doesn't seem like a huge problem. But think about this, you're constantly, however slow, dripping oil into your engine and engine bay........That's going to not only smell bad over time but create a grimy mess and reduce engine quality/life. You take care of your car and they'll take care of you! Or if it's just a beater.......then run it into the ground lol
