There's something quite wrong here. A VQ doesn't start burning oil that quickly unless its very sick. At the rate you're burning oil, is there a chance there's a hole in the oil sump? Or, are you leaving huge clouds of blue smoke wherever you go?

well oil burn issue usually happen after your Z has 70,000 -100,000 miles and above . your car is low milage and it deserve to stop by Nissan Dealership.

I have 06 with 116k

5 quarts is basically the sump capacity. You'd have had to be dry to put that in. You must be leaving pools of oil wherever you go. Take it to the dealer asap unless you have 5k for an engine swap.

For starters is it LEAKING oil, or BURNING it?

Burning will have lots of white smoke out the back and you will smell it. If it's leaking it you need to find the leak. Id bet on fat leak over it burn that amount.

White smoke is typically water or antifreeze burning in the cylinders. Blue or black smoke is oil burning, but with the amount the OP is losing, there's little doubt he has a hole somewhere. All it takes is to jack up the car, support it on jack stands, grab a flashlight and trace the trail of oil. Wonder if he'll ever come back and update this thread?
