Stripped wire under steering wheel (pic)
In the photo its the orangish wire above gas pedal
Hi,
while going over my newly acquired car I noticed a stripped wire underneath the steering wheel area.
anyone have a clue what this leads to?
ive included a pic
any help is appreciated

Really? The car has hundreds of different wires and that is not orginal. If you trace it back to the orginal wire you might be able to find the color in the FSM. You need to trace it yourself especially as it is aftermarket and unique to your car.
I will guess that it's for an aftermarket security system or radio and probably the power.

Thats what I wanted to know if it was oem or not. Maybe the prev owner used it to piggy back off of it for some reason. The car has oem radio and no aftermarket alarm or led's or any of that funky stuff.
my left window doesnt roll down and my right window rolls down when it wants to. So i was just wondering if this stripped wire had anything to do with it.

Also, I don't think it has anything to do with your windows acting up, since premature failure of the window motors is common with these cars.

I hope it doesn't go to one of those ridiculous Sprint Booster Power Converter gizmos. Those are about as useful as a turbonator.

Bought it from a dealer as is so I cant ask a previous owner.
its an white with red and from some online searching it may (MAY) be to bypass immobolizer.
so one of you guy's comments is on the right track.
