Good evening all. I need some help getting a part number for the HID headlight igniter on the g/f's 2004 350z. Below is a picture of the part that came off of the car.



Looking at AutoZone and O,Reilly, they say P/N 601-166, pictured below, is the correct part for the car. Alas, the strain relief / ground tab is not in the right spot, and there is no spade connector on the light head for the small ground strap from the housing.



Does anyone have a part number that will get me the part at the top?

Take the VIN to a Nissan parts department and they'll get you to correct part #.

I'm not sure if the grounds will be any different or not, but most/all nissans from the 2000's with standard HID's, even common ones like altimas and maximas used the same ballast and I think igniter. If you have access to a salvage yard it might be worth checking out.

 

I'm no help with the part number, but it's called a Matsushita Gen 3 igniter. If you search that, you can find them for about $15 on fleabay.
