Default Bleeding clutch, pedal is now stuck. help!

Bled my clutch using a vacuum bleeder. And now I have no pedal pressure, it just stays on the floor unless I pull it up.

Some notes that may help:
Clutch was working fine before, I just wanted to flush it as the fluid was dirty and brown.

When I was vacuuming, the hose never filled with fluid, but it was sucking fluid. Vacuumed and topped off until I saw clear fluid. Repeat multiple times, basically used the whole qt of fluid.

Will not go into gear now.

I researched the forums, is my next option to bench bleed the MC? any help would be appreciated!!

I haven't had to work on my z's clutch, but if you let us know the year of your z, and whether you made any adjustments on the rod or switches, I think someone can chip in.

I finally got it working, got some pressure back in the clutch. Couple hours of vacuuming, hour of pumping and bleeding, qt and half of fluid. Not as firm as before, so will probably have switch out MC and SC next.

Bleed the slave “from the top”, that is, instead of vacuum (which usually works), use a power bleeder like a Motive which pressurizes and continuously fills the system from the top (at the master).

Takes minutes to bleed. Pump/hold/open/close/repeat
Next time empty fluid and replace as it's draining so you don't get air.

Not to change the topic too much but yes, you need to get the roadster out! I hadn't been to Honolulu in a few years until a couple months ago and the roads beckon to be driven in a roadster; I don't know why it's been so long since I went to Oahu, despite it being a short hop over from our second home on Maui. Will be back in December-January and probably go back to Honolulu to eat! Haha!

Here's my roadster thread: https://my350z.com/forum/other-vehic...d-my-past.html

Post some pics of yours there! Always happy to see another "aging beauty". Hahaha. Are you on 311S.org? Great resource for roadsters!!

Good luck with the clutch bleed. You just have to be patient with it. For some reason, Z33s just seem to love getting air into places it doesn't belong (cooling, brake and clutch hydraulics, etc.) and it doesn't like coming out unless forced. My Motive bleeder is the handiest tool in my garage (even though I don't use it very often. But when I need it......)

I am on 311s.org, not a frequent visitor to the site recently though. Your roadster looks beautiful! i posted a pic of mine on your roadster thread. And yes these hawaii roads and weather beckon the roadster to be driven. I need to get working on her again for sure!
