What causes the radio and AC to automatically turn off when driving?

 

I checked my internet mechanic crystal ball and it said the car has herpes


But in reality its probably the ribbon cable

 

Welcome- but that's not a combination failure common to the Z33. Although your initial post fails to mention anything about your car (year, model, mileage, mods or problems), I'd suspect an electrical short somewhere in the cabin harness.

 

Travlee, thanks for the information. Where would I find the ribbon cable and is it something that is easily replaced by me, a non-mechanic, or do I need to go somewhere?

 

the ribbon cable would affect the ac. but since the radio wiring is in the general area i would pull out the waterfall and check around

 

Thanks dkmura for the reply. My car is a 2003 350z. In addition to the radio and AC turning off, I get the low tire pressure light displayed on the dash and the gauge that helps me check things like low pressure, mph, air temp, etc., is also not working.

 

all kinda point to ribbon cable... prob a hack job behind there..
