Default Did SPL change the design of their solid subframe bushings?

I ordered SPL solid subframe bushings from Z1 for my 05 350z GT. I received them, but they looked like the bushings for a 370z...they weren't a solid cylinder shape, but more of an hourglass shape (like the 370 bushings) . I called Z1 and they went and pulled more off the shelf for an 05 350z and they said they all were hourglass shaped and it was probably just a revision from SPL. I was unconvinced sinced even the instructions that came with the bushings showed the cylinder shaped ones. So the guy at Z1 said he would call SPL and check. He called me right back and assured me they were correct and that it indeed was just a new design. Well... I dropped my subframe, cut out all the old bushings , took the new ones out of the freezer and went to put them in....THEY DON'T FREAKIN' FIT!!!!!! I tried pounding them in with a deadblow hammer and a block of wood, but they won't budge past the first 1/8" beveled edge.
Anyone else know for certain if this indeed is just a new design or did i get the wrong bushings ? I don't wanna keep pounding on them and get em stuck or damage my subframe. PLEEEEEASE somebody....ANYBODY..... HELLLLLLP !!!!!
