I’m having an issue starting the car where it’ll start to crank but then stop or it won’t crank at all, it sounds like something spins which I’m assuming is the starter spinning but then it won’t crank. It is a 2005 6spd and I’m able to turn the crankshaft so it’s not an engine rotation issue. I had just fixed a short to ground on Saturday that was blowing my ecm fuse, took it out for a test drive, did to mini pulls as the fuse would blow under hard acceleration. After that I brought it home and fast forward to Tuesday, it was raining pretty hard so I went and tried to move it from under the tree and it wouldn’t start. I was reading that when a battery goes bad it may still read 12v but it won’t hold a load so the starter will just spin. I bought a new battery at auto zone today and still nothing, after rotating the crankshaft it’ll crank the slightest bit more but still stop and sound like the starter spins. I was so glad to have “fixed” it since it’s been mostly sitting since January but a new issue had to bless me with its experience. Any help would be appreciated
