Default 350z soft top won’t close

So recently today my soft top hasn’t been working and is stuck open about an inch the windows close the seats retract than just a click no movement I can hear the motor trying, I took a peek and it looks like the pin where it clips into is off center Maybe as when I try to push on the black piece under the window there is no movement..... has anyone had similar experience

Moved to the appropriate forum. Try researching a bit more and reading a few threads like this one:

The power top is a complex mechanism and you may need a factory trained tech to diagnose the problem. I'd suggest interviewing the service director at the dealership before you commit to an appointment and identify who is the most experienced tech and knows ZRs to schedule for your car.

Default Resolved

After calling Nissan and them wanting 142/hr x 6 hours just to diagnose I figured I’d take a look at it myself, so I removed the toneau cover to access the 5th bow removed the 5th bow looked at everything and everything looked fine so I put it all back in and when I went to put the toneau cover back on I realized it wasn’t aligned did some research and it was actually a safety mechanism stopping the top from going up or down and making it just click, did some bending to make it snug and alligned again and wula works just like new again!
