P0345 Code, camshaft hitting position sensor bank 2
Hi,
The car throws this P0345 error one day and I thought the CMPS on Bank 2 died.
Went to change it and it had a groove in it.
I changed the sensor and the camshaft made a groove in the new one.
The car cranks longer, throws a check engine and disables traction control, but drives fine.
Maybe the idle isn't as stable as it was.
How would it be possible for the camshaft to move and hit the sensor, what could be the issue?
I'm not going to lie I drive the car pretty hard; I don't baby it.
