2004 Nissan 350z: Electrical Issues, No Start & ECM Not Found
Hello,
I'm facing an issue with my 2004 Nissan 350z that I can't seem to resolve.
Background:
A few months ago, I started having problems with the rear lighting: the brake light remained on, and when braking, the left rear light went out. Subsequently, I faced issues with the ABS and ESP; they lit up and the car's power decreased, especially after braking hard. At one point, all electronics in the car turned off when braking, only to restart a few seconds later. This happened after I removed my radio (I was also in the process of installing a rearview camera, but later removed everything). After replacing the stop light sensor under the pedal , I received an error regarding a non-functional ABS sensor. While resetting the error codes, my car began to stutter and eventually turned off...
Now, the car won't start at all. It doesn't crank, and I can't hear the fuel pump either. Almost all electronic functions regulated by the BCM have stopped working, except for the headlights.
Moreover, I can't connect to the ECU anymore; my diagnostic tool indicates it can't find the ECM.
What I've tried:
- Disconnected the negative and positive poles and pressed the brake light (Many BCM functions started working again, but after a second attempt, everything stopped).
- Checked and replaced all fuses.
- Checked grounding wires.
- Replaced the BCM.
- Replaced the IPDM.
The error codes I currently receive are:
- BCM U1000
- IC (Instrument Cluster) U1000
- ECM NOT FOUND
Does anyone have suggestions or ideas on what else I can check?
