Hey guys, 2004 350z: I'm not getting power to the passenger headlight high and low pins on the headlight plug. All other pins get power in the plug.
I tested the wires behind the plug with a probe, and all the other wires going to the park lights get power, but the 2 wires going to the high and low don't.
I checked the high and low fuses to pass headlight and they are fine, and the relay is working. the drivers side works fine.
Any ideas? This is odd. Thanks for your help in advance!
There seems to be a break in the wire somewhere leading to the passenger (RH) headlamp if everything else checks out.
It sounds like you have a multimeter. Check for continuity on the headlamp circuit between the IPDM E/R and the headlamp connector. You need to disconnect the IPDM connector and the headlamp connector. Connect your two probes of your mulimeter to the corresponding terminals to make sure the the circuit is closed.
This is for HID:
For the RH high beam, it's terminal 27 on the IPDM connector and terminal 3 on the RH headlamp connector. (On my '05, the wires are brown)
For the RH low beam, it's terminal 20 on the IPDM connector and terminal 7 on the RH headlamp connector. (On my '05, the wires are red)
For non-HID/halogen style:
For the RH high beam, it's still terminal 27 on the IPDM, but it's terminal 2 on the RH headlamp connector.
For the RH low beam, it's still terminal 20 on the IPDM connector, but it's terminal 6 on the RH headlamp connector.
