350Z random Camshaft sensor problems
Hello, im suffering from a awful case of bad luck , i just had to replace all intake gaskets then days letter i get a code for a camshaft position sensor that i had already replaced not long ago, and it refuses to go way, so the car went from running fine , long starts, hesitation when revving , to it not wanting to start at all anymore, all over a period of a few days. some days it will start fine and others not at all or with something in between ,but for the past week it hasnt been starting at all ., here is a list of all the things i have tried/ have been done
-Replaced CMP on corresponding bank
-Idle relearn
-replaced CMP harness with soldered connection to old one
-Checked for 12v and ground on aforementioned harness
-Retightened and cleaned grounds points (one day it started after i soft reset ecu by disconnecting battery)
-Battery - cable replaced
-Cried
Any help would be appreciated as i might be looking at a dark road of selling it after 3 years

hello , i would recommend doing everything i said i did plus make sure to use oem , i didn’t want to fork over the funds because i couldn’t believe it would be a big difference but it does
Hmm interesting! I used OEM sensors and im suffering the same exact symptoms you have. Doesn't really matter anymore though, one day my car just turned off while driving and the next time i turned it on, my engine starting knocking
