The OneLapZ is prepping for another run at One Lap of America. I’ve had a couple of drops into limp mode from an A/B voltage difference in the throttle position. Cleansed the MAF and TB. The TB was covered in deposits and clearly needed a cleaning. I tried to do the pedal dance to reset the ECU throttle parameters. The ECU will not go into program/reset mode. No flashing of the MIL during the dance. The ECU also does not accept programming of key fobs (a prior problem I’ve had).
Post cleaning the intake, the car runs. AFR is good under acceleration. Idle is 800-ish RPM. So good there. But when idling, the AFR rises to 20+. That seems odd and too high.
The car - 2003 350Z with a Vortec V2 SC. It’s got coil over race suspension, custom exhaust, tune for the vortec, and so on. The tune is on a factory ECU.
The issue that bugs me is the key doesn’t seem to activate the reset for the ECU (or allow for the key fobs to be programmed). Anyone have any suggestions on what would cause this?
