Default new ecu and the immobilizer system

Does anyone know if the 350Z ecu is coded directly to each ignition immobilizer/key type.....or is the key simply paired with an individual ignition module in the steering column??

i believe that the ecu is coded to the chip in the key, not a key type, ask technosquare or chebosto for more details they know a lot about the ecu in the z

the ecu comes uncoded, the minute you put your key in the ignition for the first time, it matches up to the key/car.

Then you will need to have it programed to the key.

Wait, isn't the security in the BCM (Body Control Module) and not the ECU?

if its been used in another car, it needs to be reset. My experience is from going back and forth with technosquare. THey sent me a loaner ecu once, and then they did an ecu reset on my car's ecu while it was in another car after doing the immobilizer reset. It didn't work on mine and had to be sent back.

Can the dealer reset the ecu?? They should be able to if someone ever had to change a key set for a car.

they should be able to, if it hasn't previously been reprogrammed by Technosquare or someone else.
