There is no "RPM" wire because it goes into a combined signal wire, where a bunch of different signals are mux'd together and sent on a single wire.

There is a coil trigger wire however, but because there are six of them, one for each cylinder. It will be operating at 1/6th the RPM.

Cylinder 1's coil trigger wire is pin 62 coming out of the ECU. It's a yellow and red wire. Be careful, there are several yellow and red wires, make sure it's pin 62.

The pins aren't numbered. Here is a picture of what the connector that goes into the ECU looks like with the pin numbers on it.

I don't know if it will work because I don't know the specifics of that shift light. I'd call the company and tell them the only thing that is available as a trigger is a coil trigger pulse and mention the fact that there are six coils. Maybe you or they can reprogram it to adjust for the signal.

It's already a low level 5v signal. You should just be worrying about the signal frequency, not the voltage.

i called up nissan... 3 guys said i dont know and 2 said to hook it up to coil one...dont mess with the ECU its very sensitive. then i asked about the 1/6th rpm reading and they said it will work fine,if theres 2500 RPM's in coil 1,theres 2500 in coil 2,3, and so on. so im gonna give this a shot probably tomorrow night at the shop i work at unless its nice out, then i gotta go flying.

ill let you guys know the results and ill post pics/video of how the system looks and works. thank you

You don't have to mess with the ECU, just tap into the yellow red wire coming out of the ECU connector. Ensure you disconnect the battery when you do it.

Default Answer to all your problems. There is a signal wire you CAN TAP INTO.

Pin number 22 blue wire with orange stripe.
