I called a Lemon Law firm here in CA ( 1800 CA LEMON ) and they told me that i dont have a case because since my car was originally purchased under my moms name and then transferred to me later, i dont have anything to get back because it was transferred as a gift so i wouldnt have to pay tax and lic again, just wondering if anyone was in this type of scenario and knows if there is any chance of a buy back, btw im on like my 5th tranny and tired of it

 

Mayber transfer it back to your Mom and try again?

If the only type of cases this firm handles are related to the lemon laws then, I would tend to take what they said as the truth. You could try another firm that specializes in the same type of thing but, I am guessing that you are going to get the same response.

 

Odds are they don't "specialize" in anything but marketing. It sounds like another law firm that just wants to get clients by listing an easy to remember phone number.

Others I have seen are something like 1-888-cash4you or 1-800-urmoney or other weasel-like promotional stuff.

Some of these TV ad lawfirms make me want to puke just watching their commercials.
