I have 14k miles now on my Z, i have replaced the tranny recently with the most updated version. Last week i noticed after a long day of driving, when i pulled into my driveway i heard this Whining RRRRRRRRRRR noise coming from somewhere under the hood. Its been like this all week and i haven't had a chance to bring it to the dealer. I mostly hear it when the car is at idle, the noise goes away when i push the clutch in, but when i release the clutch (in neutral) it sounds as though the AC compressor comes on or something similar to that sound (even though the AC is not on), and than the whine starts. I have never heard this before and it doesn't sound good, it sounds embarrassing when i'm stopped at a light, unless of course i keep the clutch pushed in. If anyone may know what this is from please let me know. Thank you.
