I wish I could just get it buffed. Trust me, it's way deep. It's gonna have to be repainted. I really hate to paint half of a brand new car. I've had cars painted in the past, and it's never as perfect as I want it. That's the reason I bought this car new.

TurboGSR10, I'm so sorry to hear, but I can completely sympathize. I got my car keyed on New Years eve in Las Vegas. Someone keyed my car EXACTLY the same way as yours (except on the passenger side)! I bought new headlamps and re-painted the entire passenger side for about $1800! The paint job cost me right under a $1,000, but be careful. I just got my car back yesterday and they said that they re-painted the entire left side, but I don't believe it. I think they may have just buffed it out and charged me for a paint job. There are swirl marks all over the passenger side (from constantly trying to buff out the key mark) that is inconsistent. I don't know, but I'm going to take it to another body shop to get it fixed. Yeah, then the $600 for new headlamps on e-bay. It gets pricey, but I must take care of my baby! Someone should put all these idiots on an island and leave them all there!!!

Rickbeyer is right. It'll cost nearly $2,000. I got a good price b/c I was referred by a very very good friend. BUT then again, what am I supposed to do? Go back and accuse this person that he fraudulently took me for a BUFF job????

Thanks for the warning. I know a good body shop in my area. They painted my Integra and did the JDM conversion on it, as well as painted a bunch of my friends' cars. So I'm pretty confident they'll do a good job and probably give me a good price. I just got the appraisal from the insurance company. $1750!!! But that includes a new headlight as well as blending everything. I'm not sure it's gonna need to be blended too much, the car is brand new and garage kept. I just hope the color matches. Of course I do have to come out $500 for the deductible. You're right, these people should be put on an island. Then the island should be blown up. My friend thinks his neighbor did it. I think I may pay them a visit when I get home...
