When driving in first gear, I can either hear the [thump thump thump] or actually feel it hesitate accordingly. This only happens in first gear, the other gears are fine. And if its silent enough, you can also hear it thump through 1st gear. At first it almost sounded like my tires werent gripping the road correctly, but it has worsened to the point where it jerks the vehicle slightly.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or know what it may be? Any advice is appreciated!!

Sounds like your traction control working to me.

 

Actually I was just reading the post titled " Rattle from tranny when car not in gear and clutch out". After reading everyones post on it then I realized that maybe both issues are related. So I'm going to take it into the dealer with some knowledge on it now that it may be the tranny and others have had thiers replaced for the same thing. Thanks for responding to my concern!!
