Unhappy Paint chipping on the side of the car???

How Ironic...

I was driving to the body shop to remove a spoiler... after I got there...I noticed this 2mm chip on the passenger side rear quater panel! It's right before where the wheel wheel extends out. What the hell! I have the entire front end including the front part of the hood and quater panels, the bumper, the headlights, even teh side mirrors covered in clear bra!

Now what? I have to cover the entire car in with CLEAR BRA?? So pissed!

Make sure that it didn't get down to the metal or you'll have rust in a relatively short period of time.

it's getting professionally touched up...but still sucks.

Anyone else got paint chips other than the hood, bumper and front fenders?

I just noticed on my drive side door. Someone banged their door and didn't leave any note. Also got another chip on the driver side door by the mirror. And I too have clear bra. Damn, time to get it fixed.

How much you pay to get it taken care of, professionally?

About 20-40 bucks depending on the size. What they do is dab color, then clear coat on there and then carefully wet sand it flat. At the end, you are left with a thing outline of the chip, but get a smooth surface. Not bad.

I won't touch wet sanding with a ten foot poll (scared). Otherwise, I could do it and then buff it. But it doesn't look as good.

So did the door ding chip your car or you have a paint chip caused my a random stone?

Also is the chip down to the primer (white or black)?

Man, a stone must have flown sideways towards your car!
