Default How many have had their Zs bought back by NAA?

A quick survey. It sure seems that alot of us have had Zs bought back.

Please respond if you have had your Z bought back.

If so, did you go through LL process or through BBB?

Is there anyone out there that have had a hearing either with LL or BBB and did not win?

If you won, what car did you replace it with?

My response:

Yes I had my Z bought back October of 2003. Went through BBB and won my hearing. Now I own a 2004 MBZ CLK 500.

Thanks. Just real curious and don't want to read through the entire feathering thread.

just started my case with LL. Now waiting the 45 day grace period for Nissan to respond. Not sure what I am going to replace it with yet. I love the FX 35 but 36+ is a little steep for me. Probably just end up with a 2005 Z touring or a G. They are making the G have 295(?) hp or so next year as well as 19's and a new suspension and tranny. Lets see what the Z gets.

How long do you expect the LL process to take. I thought I have been reading that it can take 6 monts, and BB can take 2-3 months?

First Id like to say Im a preorder 03 owner got my Z in oct. 02. have all the Z problems. I did nt want to go through BBB or NNA they give you the run around. I got any LL attorney I' m still waiting it been three mo. NNa kicked back the case said nothing wrong with car Law firm resubmitted the case, said NNA is the most difficult to buy back. I guess they are sure that there is nothing wrong with the Z. I am definately not getting a Nissan ever again I just going to drive my 78 civic and see if Nissan/ Infiniti get there head out of there *** by 07 when the GTR comes to US. Nissan really breaks my little heart I love my Z hate Nissan service.

when they buy back your car, do they pay you everything that you pay including the taxes, interest rate, and msrp?

I was told usually 3-6 months depending on case. Nissan apparently, according to my lawyer, usually doesnt like to make prelitigation offers ulike some other manufacturers. So normally you have to wait for the case to go to trial. Each state is different for the laws regarding LL status and claims so be sure to check out your state's laws. In NJ:
company has 45 days to respond after complaint is filed with court by lawyer. then they can make an offer, or not and wait for court. at any time they can make an offer and you can take it or leave it and go to court. that is why there is no set time frame for the length of time it takes.
they do not have to repay everything. basically they pay the original MSRP minus wear and tear. I was told usually about $.20/mile or so, at the time of the first recorded repair. So for me that was at about 10,000 miles so I would lose about $2k off the original MSRP. They can also offer an MSRP swap where you pay for the difference between your car minus wear and tear and a new model MSRP, though then you are paying full sticker for a car rather then negotiating the price at all. Or they can offer you a lumo sum of cash and you keep the car. I was told this is what is most often done. So for instance say they give me $5k for my trouble and I keep the car. If I trade it in I get say, $23k, plus the $5k, I really get $28k for my trade.
hope that helps a little.

p.s. I am also a preorder, got mine in Sept. 02. Maybe the 2005 will be better. here's to hoping.
