Just noticed that when my car is parked/idle and stopped, there is an intermittent hissing sound I can hear from right behind the rear wheels (seems like it's coming from the exhaust pipes??)

It hisses, then stops briefly..and hisses (so on and so forth). But it's not a constant pattern..it'll hiss longer, stop quickly, hiss again, then hiss quickly, etc.

I have a jwt popcharger, but doubt it effects it. I'm also sure there's no exhaust leak as there hasn't been any work done on the exhaust pipes. Anyone experience this?

 

I got the same hissing sound from the same area you were describing. I got it since day 1 when I picked up my car. Went to the dealer and they said it's normal. I also went around the dealer and checked out all the brand new cars and they all have that hissing. So I guess it's normal.

Put a nice free flowing aftermarket exhaust on and that will fix it.
