my dads mechanic was listening to my exhaust one day and we heard a spitting noise from exhaust. while it was idling. he told me that it is not normal that it sounds like the engine might be misfiring. I was wondering did anybody else have this problem. If so how did you fix or what did the dealer tell you.

 

yea i have the same problem i have posted it before in here. i took mine to the dealership and they put a new throttle body on and now it still does it but not as much. does yours only do it when the ac is off and it has been sitting for a while??

 

yes it actually does. did the dealership actually say thats not normal.

 

no they didnt really tell me anything, they just put a throttle body on and now it does it a little bit.

 

mine does it as well. i can feel it in the idle, i dont need to hear it in the exhaust. my 300zx n/a & 300zx tt both had this idle quality too. i believe its a nissan thing. my car runs great with all the mods in my sig so im not worried about it. ill dig deeper into it when i get my dyno run.....feels a tad fat at diel but who knows........
