Question Will aftermarket brake pads void warrenty?

With 22k on my Z, I am finally replacing the brake pads. I want to replace them with the Hawk HPS pads, but will this void my warrenty in any way? The technician at the dealership said it might (they are slightly incompetent there!). Anyone else know?

lol... no.

that would be like voiding the warranty for the motor by using a non-oem air filter.

I got mine installed at the dealer so i'm pretty sure there are no warranty issues . You will like the Hawks too. I have them and they dont make any noise, feel much like stock and the best part is that there is soooooooooooooooooo much less break dust.

Try ceramic pads and say goodbye to brake dust.

zdriver1:

I installed my Hawks HPs at 17K and really don't care about Nissan's tire or brake warranty (which doesn't exists in my book).

The worse thing that will happen is your rotors might wear faster.

I don't care.

Nissan will never remove my wheels, inspect my brakes or do another alignment on my car! They don't have a clue on the correct alignment on my car, and my front brakes HAD to be replaced at 12,500 miles at my cost (500 miles out of warranty)

My feathering problem I believe is fixed by an independant tire and brake shop after 3k miles now.

The Hawk HPs are awesome. 75% less brake dust, better bite when braking.

NNA is Fn clueless. Find an honest independent exotic car service provider and save all of your service invoices.

My 2 Cents!
