Default Wide Open Spaces...

Took this yesterday as part of a photoshoot. Turned out better than I expected -- very "zen art" feel to me with the implied horizontal lines and lack of imperfections in reflection, background objects, etc.

Click for large version

The area I took it in is actually more densely populated that you might be led to believe...the effect is created by creative positioning of the frame. There is actually a major roadway directly behind my car about 20 feet back

Squint and you'll see other things. I think I'm going to buy that digital SLR now.

WOW! You should send the picture to Nissan fo them to use as a billboard for the Z Good Work. Oh! btw, is that black rims with polish lips on your car? I was thinking to get a set of rims in that color but wasn't sure how it would look. In that picture it looks really nice Your Z is Chrome Silver right ? If you have some close up pictures and don't mind posting it, I would really like to see them. TIA.

Thanks for the kind words. The rims are 19" Axis Hiro, but they are not black -- they are a gunmetal color called "anthracite". Additionally, my Z is Silverstone not Chrome Silver. Here are some extra photos.

Along 80 on the way out to Tybee. If you saw where I took it and at what time of day, you'd be asking yourself how I managed with no cars in the background

Nice photo. I like how you left slightly more space on the right of the car and less on the left. It gives me the sense that it is about to move forward. Visually the pole almost represents some sort of barrier, which keeps the car from moving back and making you sense that it can ONLY move forward. The phone lines give the photo a sense of motion too. Nice work.

Thanks. The light pole was left very intentionally as a method to create some linear drama, and to substantiate the power lines which solidify the horizontal nature of the photo.

Nice response. You are right though. You'd think we were both at an art exhibit sipping on martini's or something.
